and the quake series, a classic boomer shooter which heavily inspired ultrakill. the story and concept is, to put it lightly,
fucking psychotic. it's like if you gave adhd autism and then gave adhd to the adhd's autism.
and frankly? i cannot fucking get enough of it. the gameplay and combat loop, too, are utterly insane,
and heavily inspired by another favorite of mine,
fodder and fiend alike, and every single enemy is a threat. damage is
when you get a new weapon, it's not a replacement but a genuine addition. weapons also have
it's easily one of my favorite games of all time, and one of the most difficult i've played.
