persona 5 royal is a jrpg developed by p-studio and published by atlus.
it follows a japanese high-schooler who is falsely convicted of a crime, placed on probation, and sent to live elsewhere.
i won't say more - the story is worlds better experienced firsthand.
the game is quite long, and worth every single cent spent, every line read, and every hour sunk into it. as of writing this, i have 365 hours logged on steam.
out of any game i've played, this one changed my life, and my view of the world, the most.
each character is well-written, well-developed and interesting, and the soundtrack is chilling and powerful.
i cannot recommend it enough.
